Yesterday Nate turned 36! Man he is getting old. It was kind of a crazy day with just lots of stuff going on. Cole was sick again and we went to the Dr. and I had Young Womens that night Nate had some barn problems so we were just trying to make time to quickly squeeze in dinner and cake. Shay said "Man this is the boringest party ever!" Sorry Nate I guess when you get older Birthdays are not as fun as they use to be. Anyhow happy birthday Nate we love you.

Horse Racin'
Last weekend mom, Wyatt and Shay headed to the cutter races for the weekend in Jerome Idaho. This was such a huge part of my life growing up, this is what my family did most weekends of my childhood. I really enjoy going mostly because my whole family is there and also It reminds me of where I came from. I really grew up in a barn (haha) but growing up I spend hours everyday out working with horses and doing chores and I sometimes miss that. I mean I feel like sometimes I am totally a different person than I use to be now I am a mom and a wife and I do things with my little family and we have our own hobbies, but sometimes I love going back to who I use to be and and just hanging out at the races. Wyatt and Shay don't love the races but they love the hotel and swimming countless times over the weekend and of course playing with their 8 cousins.

Sledding
Sledding fun! On Monday the kids were all out of school and Naomi and her girls were here watching Ammon's kids, so we all decided to head up to Mendon and go sledding since there was finally enough snow to go! They all had a great time. My kids are so lucky to have such awsome cousins that are also some of their best friends!
Bailey was teaching Cole how to eat snow. She had a big ball of snow on her hand and fed it to Cole. It was so cute later after they rode down the sled together she leaned over and gave him a big kiss. What cute little cousins.

Love
It is Valentines Day and so I know it is cheesy but here is a few things I love about my family!
Wyatt
- I love that you set your alarm 15 min early every morning so you can come snuggle me for a few min. before we have to get up.
- I love that you love your little brothers so much, and that you want them to snuggle you all the time and it breaks your heart when they don't want to.
- I love that you are creative, you love to do crafts and projects I hope you never grow out of that (even though you are a tough boy!)
Shay
- I love that you are such a girly girl but at the same time love going outside and working with dad. ( I love to see her out to the barn in her mud boots and a skirt!)
- I love that you read stories and sing to your stuffed animals I could just sit outside your door and listen to you for hours.
- I love that you want to be a mom when you grow up! Although you do ask hard questions sometimes like why do you have to be married to be a mom? Can't I just have kids but not get married? (OH I passed those questions off to nate.)
Cole
- I love that you are determined to do things, even if they are hard for you.
- I love your laugh and smile ahh melts my heart!
- I love that you love your head scratched just like dad.
Clint
- I love that you are turning into such a momma boy and will pick me over anyone else!
- I love that sweet smile you give when you get your way.
- I love that you can play and splash in the tub for hours, I wish I could be more patient and leave you in there longer!
Nate
- I love that you love me, even on days I don't really don't deserve it and you never get mad at me even when I do deserve it!
- I love that you do most of our grocery shopping and will make dinner even after you have worked all day.
- I love that you make time to do things with our kids you are always at their activities even if you have to take time off of work.
This is my family and although they aren't perfect they are perfect for me.

Don't grow up!
My baby girl turned 7 on Feb 9th. I don't know how they grow up so fast. I just had to post a couple of my favorite photos of her growing up. Honestly I could have put over 100 pictures of her, I love just looking back and remembering how darling she is. She is like my sunshine in our family, keeping us laughing and just she makes me so happy. She is turning 7 but sometime I think she should be older, she acts almost like a teenager somedays. I am a little worried for her to be one!! This is my latest Shay story. She went to a party and I picked her up and this is our conversation riding home. Mom "Shay did you have fun" Shay "Not really it was a boring boy party" Mom "Shay that is not very nice. " Shay " Sorry next time I will lie and say it was the funniest party ever thank you for letting me go!" Mom "Shay I don't like your attitude". Shay "Well I don't really like you getting mad at me for telling the truth!"

Get Real
I know it is the first of February but I have finally decided my resolution for this year. I just want to be more real. I mean I sometimes feel like I am looking through a window watching my life pass by, watching my kids get older, watching me just going through the motions, watching me... you get the point. This year I want to be more real to myself and to everyone else. I am tired of trying to always say the right thing, never acting like anything bothers me, and acting like my life is so perfect. So I hope everyone still likes the real me. haha. I was just reading through some of my blogs and realized I am doing what I hate, I am just posting all these wonderful things and not really the true life of the Daugs family. I mean I do have a great family but the truth is my house is usually messy, right now I am totally ignoring Clint and Cole and blogging, we watch way to much TV and tonight is friday but we have absolutly no plans! I don't want anyone to worry I am not depressed or having a bad day I just am ready to be more honest and be happier with who I truely am. I love everyone (well not everyone if we are to be honest there are quite a few people who drive me crazy) but life is still good.
