Squires Bride

The kids were in the school play this year "The Squires Bride"  I am so proud of them for working so hard 3 practices a week before school for 2 months.  They both did so great memorizing their parts and all the songs. They loved being in the play hope they both continue to be involved in plays all throughout school.

I got to help with the cast party after- the kids were all so excited.  Love to be able to help with my kids projects.  It was a star party to celebrate all these "STARS"

Shays Birthday

 Happy birthday Shay!!   Shay turned 9 this year my little girl is growing up.  She had a great birthday she got to go swimming at Crystal Hot Springs (her favorite) this year we just let the kids each invite one friend shay brought Abby. Then Sunday was her birthday she had won the Kix 96 birthday contest so she got her cake there and then we invited Grandpa and Jill and Ammons family over for dinner.  This year she got an American Girl doll for her Birthday.  She was so excited!!  I love her so much glad she is in our family.

Sick

Do you ever just get so Sick of Sick kids.  Ahh the last couple weeks have just been one thing after another.  It started with the school calling me because Cole's eardrum broke at school and was draining.  So we made a quick trip in to Dr and the poor little guy had ear infections then a couple days later Clint started with a fever and not eating and like 6 seizures in a day.  Then the next morning he woke up looking like this.  Doctor said he had hand foot and mouth.

The day after Clint started Cole had an awful day of fevers and seizures and he was also throwning up.  He only got a few spots nothing like his brother.  Pretty much we have been locked in our house for just over a week.  Starting to get a little stir crazy!!  But am finally getting some things done on my to do list - like catch up my blog.  

Pinewood Derby

The pinewood Derby for scouts.  This year is Wyatts last year competing. Wyatt did great he won a ton of races, and was happy with his car.  He won the award for the sleekest car it was purple on one half and blue on the other.

Nate is a great dad and helps Shay make a car every year even though she only gets to race it a couple times after the derby is over.  Shay with Lilly Merritt 

New Years

We had a pretty relax New Years we just stayed home and had a few friends over to play games.  Ammon and Alison, Dan and Marsha, and Matt and Jenn.  Mostly the kids played and the adults just talked it was fun to catch up with everyone.  Then around 11:30 we went over to the Ashtons for the ball drop.  They have a fun party with treats and hot chocolate then we light lanterns and the ball drop with a few fireworks.  They are such a great family so glad they are our friends!!  I think one of my goals this year will be to be better at taking photos I have been awful at taking my camera and getting good photos

Christmas

Christmas always starts with the annual cutting down of the tree.  On the Sat after Thanksgiving we head up Immigration canyon and go tree cutting down.  This year Cole and Clint rode with us but since they are getting a little to heavy to pack I just stayed in the van with them and Nate Wyatt and Shay went and cut down out tree.  After they went sledding  on a little hill for a bit.

Christmas Eve we had our family party at my parents house.  This year it was a little different because my mom was super sick - later we found out she had pnemonia!  That night we just ate dinner played some games and opened gifts.  As always the kids got really spoiled it is such a fun party.  Then we headed home early because Nate was not feeling that great.  On the way home we stopped at K-Mart for a quick minute Nate Wyatt and Shay went in while they were inside Cole threw up- Oh so gross!  We got home and got a quick photo of all the kids in their Christmas Jammies before round two.

This is our 3rd year with someone sick on Christmas ahh I think we have a curse.Christmas morning we did  not get up to early Nate was still sick and did not want to get out of bed so me and Wyatt and Shay got up and opened stocking and had breakfast then the rest of the crew woke up for presents. Shays favorite gifts were her sleeping bag, and a horse to go with her Doll.  Wyatt got games and clothes.      Cole and Clint got a really fun activity bus. Later that day we went over to Rachel's for Christmas dinner Nate and the boys stayed home but we went over for a quick dinner then came home and just watched movies.- I really needed to take more photos just got a few of the whole Christmas season..

Halloween

Halloween it seems like we do the same thing every year kind of a repeat from last year, but still fun.  One day we may try something new and exciting but this year just a repeat from last year.  The kids got home and we got ready for Trunk or Treat it started at 5 this year, way to early Clint and Cole go home late from school (4:45 oh that another story) so they went straight from the bus to the van to head out trick or treating. Their costumes were so cute this year thanks to our awsome Aunt Rachie  they always get to pick out what to be Wyatt picked Clint and Cole to be his Owls since he was Harry Potter.  He is so obsessed!

Then after Trick or Treating we go over to our neighbors they invite us over for a hot dog roast, so great to just stop and grab dinner why you our our Trick or Treating.  It is fun they have 2 huge fires going and you just cook a hot dog and they have drinks and chips. It is such a fun way to end the night. Then home to sort candy ( I did not even get a photo of all the candy this year) and watch the Great pumpkin Charlie Brown.
