St. George Trip

Nate had a conference in St. George so we decided to make a little mini vacation and take the older two kids for a couple of days.  Thanks Aunt Rachie who kept Clint and Cole.

Day 1.  We picked the kids up a little early from school and started the drive- luckily the kids are old enough now that traveling is no problem we pretty much drove straight there.  Got there in enough time to swim at the hotel for awhile.

Day 2.

Nate had meetings during the day so me and kids swam for a while and then went shopping for a bit. Then we met with some friends (Jess and her cute 4 boys) and headed out to Snow Canyon.  The kids love playing in the sand their.  We then went on a fun hike and just enjoyed the 70 degree weather it was so nice. Then we headed back to meet Nate and all went swimming in the outside pool for a couple hours.  Then went to dinner and then found the funniest park to play at until dark.

Day 2.
Got up and swam again my kids favorite part of all trips.  Then we went over to the Temple and went to the visitors center for a bit

Then we drove to the city center and played in the fountains and rode the carousel .  Nate just had meetings until lunch so we picked him up and drove to Zions National Park.  We did a few of the shorter hikes, like the emerald pools, and weeping wall, and river trail.  It was so fun to just be outside enjoying all these beautiful spots.

Then we headed for home.  It was a super busy day but so much fun.  We did not get home until 11:30 but we did not want the kids to miss one more day of school.  It was a great quick little vacation and I love that we can go and just enjoy being together.  Then we came home to snow and rain.  Ah I miss the sun already.
