Yellowstone Trip

Family Yellowstone Vacation- Me, Nate, Wyatt and Shay went to Yellowstone for the weekend.  Clint and Cole stayed home with Grandma and Aunt Cindy a big thanks for watching them!!  Day one we drove to Jackson Hole and went on the Alpine Slides this is a favorite with the kids.  This is the first year Wyatt rode his own car down, he went pretty slow but still had a great time.  Then we walked through the shops in Jackson and ate dinner.   That night we stayed at a friends cabin in Star Valley which was so much fun the kids loved exploring around and sleeping on the bunkbeds.
Day two we drove to Yellowstone and stopped at all the stops.  Old Faithful is always one of the favorites it was fun this time and the kids were older so they loved looking at everything.  Wyatt wanted to read every sign and learn about everything he is a little scientist.  Shay just loved seeing the animals and walking everywhere  holding her dads hand.
2nd night we stayed at a hotel in West Yellowstone.  The whole reason we stay there is the slide, after riding in the car all day the kids love swimming and going down the slide a hundred times.  The water was pretty cold so me and nate only went down a couple of times.
Day 3 we went back into Yellowstone and finished driving around the park.  One of our first stops was at the snow so the kids could have a snowball fight.  Then we went to the petrified tree and the falls, even though we were in the mountains it was so hot!  We were all cooking after hiking down to see the Falls.
This is the only bear we saw just this cute little cub,  not sure where his momma was but he sure was cute.
Last stop was at Yellowstone Lake, after being hot all day we thought it would feel good to play in the water for a bit before we started the long drive home, we were wrong.  The water was freezing!!  We had contests who could keep their feet in the longest or wade out the farthest.  It definately cooled us off and we were ready for the ride home.  It was a wonderful relaxing trip.  It is so nice to go with the older kids and get to spend time playing with them.  I know I should feel guilty leaving Clint and Cole behind but it was so nice to get away for a couple days with no bottles, diapers or strollers.!

Photo- Me, Angie, Kami, Cindy, Jane
We had such a fun day swimming!  We went to raging waters with my Angie and Cindy and the 8 Jamison cousins and then we met Naomi and her family there and some of my cousins Kami, Jane and Diane and their kids it was so much fun.  We all have the SL pass which gives you season passes to go their we had such a great time we will definately try to fit in many trips to SL.  I did not take a bunch of photos because I was so busy riding all the slides.  Me and Wyatt went on most- of the slides I think I had more fun than my kids I love riding the slides I think it just makes my feel young again not like a boring mom with 4 kids.  Shay did not love the slides  the first slide we went on we rode on a double tube and she was crying and kept screaming I hate this mom!!  I am glad she tried it.  She loved the lazy river and wave pool and could have stayed there all day.

Summer Days

I love summer days when nothing is scheduled!  This has been the first sat for awhile that was totally left open which leaves time for just playing!  Wyatt got up and went fishing with Grandpa Don I love that those two can just go together for a morning-  What great memories Wyatt is making.  Shay had Ada over to play and she loves having her "girl time"  Ada is the closest thing to a sister Shay will probally ever have and they are such great friends!  We got the pool- well boat- out for Clint and Cole to play in they loved splashing around then Wyatt got home the they got the slip and slid out and rode bikes, caught butterflies and just played around like kids should!  What a great day

Family Reunions

 Gibson Reunion-

The Gibson Reunion was at the Logan Fairground-  it is a great place for all the kids to run around and play.  This year Chets family was in charge and they did a great job!  The first night we had a pie eating contest.  Wyatt represented the Jamison family and did a great job.

All of the families were given a color of bandana to wear Jamisons were Green and Wyatt wore his proudly the whole time.  Second day we had some games in the morning and then the kids made marshmellow guns and the adults did a fun craft with a photo of Grandpa and Grandma Gibson on it.  Thanks to Kami!  Photo below Cindy my oldest sister and cousin Kami
Then we all walked to the Willow Park Zoo and played at the playgrounds. Then later that night we had a family talent show.  We have some really talented family!  Jamison Grandkids all did a lipsink it was pretty funny but I would say the Gibson family Syncronized swimmers took the prize.  It was a great weekend.  We have such a fun family and it is so fun to be together.

Talbot Reunion- The next weekend we had a reunion for my dads side of the family.  The day before we were cleaning out my grandmas house because she has moved into the nursing home and we found these 3 sweet polyester shirts that were some of my grandmas favorites so me and my sisters wore them to dinner just for fun.  The funniest part was one of my grandmas sister went up to Cindy and was like I really like your shirt.   Below:  The boys wanted in on the fun so Cameron and Will - Lisa's stepkids and Dalton put on the shirts for awhile to play the family games. Bottom photo Sierra, Lisa, and Michelle sporting the shirts for a nice photo.  I have been so blessed to have fun cousins
on both sides of my family.

End of school

Summer is finally here but I wanted to post some photos to finish out the school year.

Wyatt's soccer team- this year his team struggled a little they won only 1 game but it was still fun and I am proud of these little guys for being such great sports!
This is Cole and Clint at their preschool program
Their teachers/aides are so cute with them.  They are helping them do all the actions for the songs.
The day before their program they needed a hair cut so we decided to give them a mohawk and let them punk out for the summer.  We asked them if they wanted on and since they made no comment I took that as a yes!!
We love Mrs. White.  Shay had the most amazing teacher this year!!  I was so sad to end the year she was perfect for Shay and fit her so great.  Shay had a wonderful 1st grade.  This is a photo at her class program I was out of town that day so Nate was great and took Clint and Cole in to watch her program.  I felt bad to miss it but the night before she sang me all the songs and told me her parts.  So accourding to Shay all I missed  was the cookie!

One little story about Shay ( I now I've pretty much told everyone this story I just wanted to remember it forever)
So it was before Mothers day and Nate and the kids were looking through the newspaper and looking at the ads to pick me out a present.  So Wyatt finds this ring like a $3000 ring and says this is what we should get mom so Nate proceeds to explain to Wyatt about high maintance women.  He say you should find a girl who doesn't need expensive gifts to make her happy just one who is happy with something thoughtful.  Wyatt totally got the point - so I say to Shay - Are you listening to what dad is saying and she was like yes I understand, But I will find me a man who wants to buy me the ring! Good luck with that Shay!!
